I think I've said this before, but it was Ice Cube that turned me on to Betty years ago when he sampled "Shoo B Doop and Cop Him" for his track "Once Upon A Time In The Projects". That groove was so filled with the funk that I just HAD to find out where it came from. Got all of Betty's material I could find and been a huge fan ever since! |
