Who Else Watched Harpo's Women Of Rock Episode?

Great to see Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar and Salt N Pepper receive the mainstream media attention they deserve as historical figures.

But...

What's up with with Sheryl Crow and Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter being included? And why do Salt and Pepper always dragging out Spinderalla during high profile events yet ignoring her otherwise. Errr... neutral

Sheryl Crow is brilliant. If anything it is more insulting that she is lumped into that question with that girl.

Salt N PEPA don't ignore Spinderella.... she is just the DJ wink she's got a decent flow too

There used to be a time when the DJ was more important than the MC. Samplers and drum machines drove out turntablism. biggrin

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Oopsies, I love me some Ms. Crow but was annoyed just annoyed that she took airtime from the true legends of rock. Like Sandra Bernhardt declared, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and Pat Benatar lived and sweated under their titties at a time that it was not appropriate. They deserve the same accolades that Ms. Ross got, a full hour of their own.

Absolutely.. Im sorry I didnt like the show. To pair Avril Langvine with Pat Benatar was an insult. I didnt know Ms. Benatar written a book about her life in music that certainly deserved to be promoted. Stevie Nicks Joan Jett and Pat Benatar are rock legends they dont need to be accompanied by younger singers let them 'shine' on their own.(I love Sheryl Crow too but her presence wasnt necessary)

Im surprised Salt N Pepa was on the show everyone knows Oprah has no love for HipHop.

Oprah don't know Heart. She proved how narrow her musical scope was during her Yosemite trip with Gayle.

Hey, my post was about the actual show and not the announcement. Kind of like when mods have previously refused to look "predict the Oscars" and "here are the actual" nominees thread.

Oh what the hell, consistency isn't the org's best attribute. lol

"You say I say cliteris, I say clitoris, let's call the whole thing off." Did they forget the lyrics? Just left 'em to hum in the tent, all night long like Lionel Richie?

No, for real, tell us more about this proof, please.

I tried looking for clips but Oprah's internet people do a killer job of removing non-approved content. During the drive to Yosemite, Gayle was blaring the radio singing all the songs and Oprah was annoyed that Gayle new all the words. You could tell Harpo has no love for pop.
