IMO, Celine is a *far* superior vocalist than Mariah is. But you be the judge.

Mariah has a great voice, but Celine is superior.

The power that Celine has in her voice in all ranges is just awesome, and unmatched in my opinion by anyone.

Celine by a mile. Mariah's whistle tones are obnoxious to my ears, and she is often so airy. Celine has a great deal of power in her voice and knows how to use each facet of it.

Love her or hate her, Celine is one of the best female vocalists around. She has a pure voice and doesn't need any "help" like most singers do.

I will take the latter 4 $200.

From a technical standpoint I would say Celine wins with her ability to sing clear sustained notes with little or no vibrato. But from a practical perspective she doesn’t do a damn thing with it that isn’t terribly boring. Celine’s voice might be the most beautiful paint in the world, but I still don’t want to watch it dry.

Though her tone irritates the shit out of me, I'm gonna go with Celine. She's a good technical singer. Aside from a wide range, Mariah isn't a strong singer. Her voice is way too airy and I think she's beyond overrated. Celine is overrated too but at least she can still yodel sing good.
