Bobby Brown's slammin new single!

Why some of you are mocking Brown on another thread, boyfriend rocked my ass the other day on the View with his new single, Get Out The Way:

Not his best singing, but the guitar stuff is great. Very princey. A very good ole school style rock/R&B tune. Nice.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

If I were him, I would beat down that daughter of his for stealing the thunder from this pretty good song. It's not a classic but it is a nice reminder that Bobby had talent.

I actually kind of liked it, too...

I want to hear the studio version. He sounded a little "rough" on "The View".

I really like this song. It's catchy and I like that it doesn't sound like most other songs out right now. Can't wait for his album to drop!!

His voice is rough. But it goes with the sound. It's catchy.

Pretty good for a live version. It's better than the bullshit they play on the radio.

Maybe so but Ilike how Bobby Brown never over sings and doesn't do many runs. Do you guys think this is a rock song? I was trying to categorize it. It sounds rock n' b to me!

i agree... this isn't bad at all. i am hoping he doesn't use autotune in the studio track. i like it better than a lot of the stuff he put out in the 90s. i'm not really a fan of new jack (except for 'dangerous'), so i actually prefer this sound from mr. brown. yeah, he sounds a bit rough around the edges, but if they lowered the pitch a notch, he would sound pretty good, for the kind of song it is.

maybe he's acknowledged that he's not one of those R&B pretty boys, and that his voice isn't smooth? who knows. i like this turn he made.

however, i will always have a soft place in my heart for this song. i'm sure people may dis-agree with me, but i always see the arrangement modelled after a jazz piece. i love the piano/keyboards on it, how it plays off the beat. this s far superior to the remix, which gets more light for some reason.

Remember when Bobby had great songs and a great voice, like on this classic. I still live by these sentiments--just in a more controlled, positive way! wink

i just heard the studio version... i prefer the rawness of the live version. and the studio version does sound doctored with autotune.

This song isn't terrible, but it's very generic sounding to me. Bobby is an artist that needs a good production team to surround him. If he's doing this album all on his own, I'll definitely give it a listen...but I won't get my hopes high.

There is just nothing that stands out about this track. It just sounds like your basic R&B song of today.

I miss Bobby's old voice. I hate to say this, but he sounds like shit now.

I prefer the live version too because it sounds more rock but I like the recorded version too. Very catchy song.
