I haven't read any books about disco yet, so this one served as a great introduction. Plus, its a biography about one of my FAVE groups ever. Loved it. Have anybody else been familiar with it?

yes it IS a good book- i read it about 3 or so years ago...

I bought it nearly 2 years ago--and never got around to reading it! Maybe I'd finally do it over a quiet weekend. I'm interested in finding out what inspired Edwards & Rodgers to create French-inspired song titles as well as idioms that harkened back to the 1920s.

they were definitely inspired by folks like roxy music/eno/ferry/etc.

yep,I read this book several years ago.Very good book with alot of interesting details.

I've been listening to the demo version of "Will You Cry" and those guys acted a damn fool I love it.

speaking of "acting like fools"....I love this mostly instrumental song that appears at the end of the 'C'est Chic' album They sound like they're having a crazy party! The whole world's a circus,don't you be the clown....ciao!....lol

Yep, finally bought it. What a great package, but the outtakes are really what made this set worthy IMO.

One of the best music biographies I have ever read- and it's about all-time favorite band! And the box-set is a must-have! Here's hoping there will be a Volume 2!
