It's like Sophie's Choice lol I can't do it. They don't come much more classic than Control-TVR, though. Her albums are the blueprint for so many female performers today. RN alone set so many standards for pop music in general.

^^^ Well, I love Janet's music...but I have to go with Rythmn Nation, Janet, and Velvet Rope as her best and most compelling LPs. I sincerely hope that she gets back with Jimmy & Terry for the next album...which will be an independent release.

I kinda wish Janet had done more stuff with Jesse Johnson after the second album. I mean, he played on "Black Cat" but he never produced anything else for her. There could have been space for some Jesse productions on "Rhythm Nation". Not that J&L's tracks aren't amazing though, cos they are.

Monte produced "Pleasure Principle" though, which is cool.

French Blue is the shit. It totally has that Minneapolis sound and Prince vibe.

Janet put on a very good show last night at the Houston Rodeo. She rocked a skin-tight vinyl/plastic gray outfit for most of the show and looked great. Her voice was also in excellent shape, although the sound could have been way better. That might not have been her fault though, as it's hard to get good sound in Reliant Stadium.

She played truncated versions of most of her hits, and full versions of a couple other. The setlist was almost certainly different than any other show, given the one-hour constraint performers have at RodeoHouston.

There was one costume change (that took about 5 minutes). There was a four-song part of ballads, which probably was too much for this short show.

She has plenty of dancers, and she hasn't lost a step that I could see. All in all, a very enjoyable show.

Sucks about the sound problems, but i'm glad the show went well.

I'm seeing her later this month and hope the show will be just as good.

Nope, it's a world tour. She just finished up Asia, and now it's North America, and next will be Europe. According to dates printed on tour t-shirts, she's going to Australia as well.

It does suck, big time. I see other artists with multiple threads and those artists aren't banned to one thread. What's up wit dat? I say we rebell against the man! Buck the establishment!
