Can anyone say Queen Latifah and Halle Berry got dissed ever so slightly LOL. Aretha is no joke. Music Royalty in Motion

"Queen Latifah?" "Uh...NO."
"I want someone who has a little more CONFIDENCE" @ Halle.
OUCH!
"Who will be the new Queen of Soul?" "Aretha."

Thanks for the clips. Honestly I love Aretha's fire. but Wendy's goofiness annoyed me through the interview, and I loved how Reeree kept putting her in check. [Edited 3/3/11 12:35pm]

My favorite part was in part 1, when she told Wendell to move from in front of her shaking his/her ass LOL. Aretha in part 2 told her she would beat her down over that TIME Magazine. Music Royalty in Motion

I still think Jill Scott would make a great choice. Fantasia Barrino?? Hell to the No.

"No, YOU get stupid. I don't get stupid anymore."
LOL! Awesome.
I like Wendy. I can't tell if Aretha does? I've not seen many interviews with her and I know she's at the age of crankiness, but she seemed really bitchy and a bit too buttoned up. Is she always like that?

Wendy Williams is so tacky but Aretha was lovely, as usual. T4P!

Yeah she would | |

If you say anything out of whack, she can get a little buckwild lol she got a little uncomfortable with Ed Bradley during their 60 Minutes interview. But I think she has different sides to her personality. I liked her interview with Donnie Simpson on "Video Soul" back in 1994. I DON'T like Wendy. I thought Aretha's answers to her were spot on too.

I think even Ree knows there ain't a chance in hell Fantasia can play her. Jennifer will obviously be picked.

Those clips were hilarious! Aretha's classy and sassy, love her sense of humor. Wendy is Wendy, props to her for getting this interview post-Grammy. Jennifer Hudson would be the best choice if the movie gets made, I thought that was funny/tacky the way Aretha was like, would you like to sign up to finance it?? Even better was the f/u: the check's not big enough!

I loved it, because Reeree says stuff I would say with no hesitation. I thought it was tacky when Wendy told Aretha she thinks she would get "stupid and gullible" and Reeree checked her and said (paraphrase) "No that would be you.".. You could tell Aretha was saying to herself "This is one dizzy-ass chic". I never knew Wendy could be so goofy, yet on her radio show she never hesitated to boot someone's ass off her show, boot and all. I guess she knew better than messing with Ree. Ree made sure Wendy knew who the "Queen of Soul" is forever.
Lawd have mercy, I hope NeNe from Housewives of Atlanta never interviews Ree, because NeNe might just finally get that ass-kicking she's always trying to give everyone else.
Sidenote: Can somebody tell me what the hell was up with Wendy and that bird hat? Was she trying to compete with the Queen of Soul's hat from the inauguration? [Edited 3/3/11 18:06pm]

Aretha doesn't wan't . . . .
Latifah Jill Scott Jennifer Hudson
She wants, Halle Barry
but that's not going to happen.
Ms. Williams is an acquired taste, she needs to stop boo hooing all over the place and get a grip on her emotions. Girl needs to take some "downers".

I agree. Even Ree looked like "girl it ain't that serious "

DUMB ASS...
Of all the things she could've brought for Aretha to sign, she had to bring the infamous Time magazine Wendy you ain't slick....
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
You saw Aretha throw shade when she was like "Will, take this magazine away."
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
What's wrong with the magazine?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
They talked about her private life inside it. Basically Ted White being abusive and printed the story of Aretha's childhood about her mother "abandoning" her and stuff. Aretha was interviewed for the magazine and didn't think they'd take it that far. She has since said it's a lie that her mother abandoned her (in fact she said repeatedly that she and her siblings visited her in Buffalo until Barbara Franklin died suddenly of a heart attack when Aretha was nine and a half).

Aretha is funny, she is classy, and she if forthright.
