I used to love these guys but it's kind of funny, the first albums I heard were the post Joe Walsh era (Straight Shooter, Bang, Miami) it wasn't until a few years later that I heard the earlier stuff. | |

that's funny, because i'm actually not familiar with the later stuff... does it sound similar to the other stuff?

Honestly it's not great. It's probably better than you might think but it's fairly generic early '70s rock music. Think of the Jimi Hendrix Experience without Jimi and you kind of get an idea of what you are in for. It might be worth a listen but I wouldn't necessarily recommend any of it. Dominic Troiano and Tommy Bolin were certainly good guitar players but the songwriting really suffered when Walsh left.
It took me years to get the joke about the Bang album. I just thought it was the title of the album not getting the gang bang joke. Yup, I'm pretty slow. [Edited 3/7/11 8:48am] | |
