Nicole Scherzinger has announced details of her debut album.

The singer, who officially quit the Pussycat Dolls in December last year, will release Killer Love on March 20.

The star recorded the album in New York and LA between her filming commitments for Men In Black 3.

"This album is fun and dangerous, soulful and with attitude!" Scherzinger said in a press release. "Music that you can rock out to, dance around, sing and feel good to. It means everything. It's what I've been working up to for my whole life."

The record's first single "Poison" peaked at number three in the UK, while its follow-up 'Don't Hold Your Breath' is out a week prior to the album's release.

The release marks Scherzinger's second attempt at solo stardom, after 2007's Her Name Is Nicole was eventually cancelled.

It's taken her forever to get her solo career off the ground.I wonder if she'll actually succeed this time.

For some reason, I wish her well. Maybe I just enjoy looking at her. Seriously, she seem to have really worked hard to make it in the industry. She still gotta deliver the goods though. It always comes back to the music. You still have to produce a hit record. However, I'm afraid she might go the typical commercial dance route though. She would be wise to have her own sound. Some freakin distinction.

For the record, I love dance music. Just growing weary of everything sounding the same.

Nicole's problem is that her voice is too versatile. She can do pop, r&b, rock, dance, etc. She needs to pick 1 and stick to it and then maybe she'll find success. I think she's more of a singer than an artist.

Her real problem is that she just CAN't carry a note.....even if it was tied 2 her back.

what happened to M.I.S.S. U? Pharell did a good job on that track

Robin Antin lied about an upcoming all-new Pussycat Dolls line-up with Nicole maintaining the leadership role. Even since the break-up of the previous line-up, I knew damn good and well that PCD were no more.

Exactly Robin was covering that up but thing is that Nicole was still tied to a contract with them, no one else was but her, the group was dismissed in early 2010, first of all, Melanie was booted out, which no one knew, Jessica left on her own for her own deal which is coming out with a club album and she has already had 2 top dance tracks, the blonde girl, kim i think, she has some new name she is under and then Ashley is singing and was in a few movies. Robin lost all the members by not running things right, everyone was brought on as hired hands as i said before, the only one with a contract to be there was Nicole, and Melanie, and melanie left after the second album. The plans of a third record were made up by Robin.

But as for the Nicole record, i have heard most of it, Club Banger Nation is the best of the more mainstream stuff, but as i said three years ago the Song with Sting is the direction she needs to stay on, fuck the charts, does anyone really care about them anymore, no one sells.

By denying Melody any opportunity, that was the beginning of the end for the group. And the media putting too many cameras on Nicole during interviews & photo shoots definitely made the situation worse for the other three members.

The thing with Girl Groups, at least in the USA for the most part they are set up to break up, its rare u will have shared lead vocals all the way through, i mean uk groups like GIrls Aloud and the Saturdays despite maybe solo albums still exist, Girls aloud though on hiatus is signed for 3 more albums which will give them 9 studio albums, thats about 3-4 times what a girl group in the USA will ever have. And the difference is the way its all set up, Girls Aloud have shared vocals and shared revenues, though Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle are the forefront most of the time, the other 3 sing on every track and lead on some, the same with the Saturdays which are in the same vein, just not as BIG as GA. With PCD the wrong thing to do was make this like it was a group to begin with, which was a lie from day one, Nicole signed on with the promise of a solo album chance, they did not think the first album was going to do what it did, but the stalling came when ROBIN got greedy and wanted to form all these other groups, like "Girlicious" and "Paradiso Girls" and even tried to lump a new member on PCD as if there werent enough members. What ended up happening, was that one girl that lost out on the "Become a doll competition" was rumoured to be one of the new members in fact, another rumour is that Chelsea Korka a singer from Paradiso Girls now broken up, will also be in a new version of PCD, along with this other member and Natalie Mejia from Girlicious which is another project that Robin tanked, 2 albums in and they have only had work in Canada. So i have heard that this is why Carmit left after album one, it was mostly because she got into the group to do vegas lounge shows, not tours and top 40 hits, and thats why Robin got Nicole and then Melody, the interesting thing is that Melody and Nicole rarely if ever sang together, the harmonizing vocals with Nicole were always Jessica Sutta.

Also i do believe the Nicole cd is not going to be released in the states, which is what should have happend a long time ago, been saying this for years now that the US market is over.

I swear, THIS discussion gives me one more reason why I need to hate Jimmy Iovine & A&M/Interscope Records! Never mind the fact that it is Robin's fault for not being more orgainze with her own concepts of a girl band.

But seriously, I feel like I've been lied to as a fan of PCD's self-titled debut album. In the album credits, they only mention Nicole on lead vocals, plus Melody & Carmit on co-lead vocals. The credits say absolutely nothing about Jessica being credited for backing vocals at all.
