I think he was still 'Johnny Cougar' when this was released. Then it was shortened to 'John Cougar'. Those dancers were his band at the time. It always blows me away that this song is his. It just seems like one of those old hits from the 60s.
I used to WORSHIP him in the Uh-huh/Scaarecrow/Lonesome Jubilee/Big Daddy years.
It's crazy how many hits he has accumulated over the years yet he still seems to fly a bit under the radar. | |
