Thoughts on Jack White So I'm sure we've all heard of Jack White. Personally I think the guy is pretty brilliant. In the White Stripes (R.I.P.) he was definitely the brains behind it all... I mean poor Meg had trouble being able to keep the beat right.
The band consists of Alison Mossheart from The Kills (vocals), Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age (keyboard and guitar), Jack Lawrence from The Raconteurs **Jack's OTHER band** (bass) and Jack White himself (drums/percussion/vocals).
It's a very interesting sound to listen to. Their music reminds me of grungy, bluesy, experimental and alternative rock and roll.
So yeah, Jack White, surely a force to be reckoned with. At least that's what I think. He reminds me of P in a way, always moving around to new musicians and trying to find new things to work with, plus he's really the big brain behind it all... I respect that and think it's really amazing to hear come to life on an album.
What do you think about Jack White? Love, hate, no care for? A strawberry mind, a body that's built for 2. A kiss on the spine, we do things we never do.

i'm not a huge fan, but i do think his is one of the better rock and roll minds of the past decade or so. and he can play a mean guitar.
white stripes were great, i really dug their last few albums. especially icky thump.
didn't really dig the dead weather's first album, but that second one rocks. very black sabbathy, best played loud. saw them play at bonnaroo last year. they were definitley one of the highlights of the weekend.
of all his projects, i'm the biggest fan of the raconteurs. i like the fuller, richer sound of the traditional rock band structure of these guys...plus the drummer used to serve me beer and burritoes at my local watering hole, and it's always nice to see a local boy do well.

I like Jack White, but his guitar can be really piercing at times. Maybe that's just because I'm 47.
