Yaz and P.M Dawn Yaz was an early '80's duo of Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet.
Ode to Boy
This is all I could find from their second album, the one I listed, 'You and Me Both.' They only released three albums before breaking up. Their second album held up throughout the 80's as one of the best albums of the decade. IMO Dance, relationships, social commentary . . .
I don't know if you know the group Kosheen, but I think they are great, but largely unknown. They remind me of Yaz in that regard.
P.M. Dawn is coincidentially another duo had some pop hits. Initially rappers, they transitioned into singing.

Upstairs At Eric's is one of the best things to come out of the 80's. That disc still holds up.
