Long awaited Jeff Beck-Rod Stewart reunion is moving full steam ahead Jeff Beck reveals he and Rod Stewart hav worked on 11 tracks and now the finishing touches are in Stewart's hands. Recordings happened at Narada Michael Walden's studio and a studio in LA. Things were interrupted by the birth of Rod's latest child. Beck says a tour would be in order as well. This is a fluid situation, more details are certain to come forth soon as the two met in London today. [Edited 2/25/11 19:40pm] Music Royalty in Motion

I thought Rod couldnt tour and sing anymore? that was the reason for the "standards" bullshit "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

its been a REAL long time since Rod has had anything interesting album wise, hes kind of like the Rolling Stones in that sense "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I have no interest in those great american song book albums but you can't really blame him for making so many of them. After Human his career really started to go south so when he had great success with the first one of course he was going to keep making them.
For me he hasn't made a decent album since the Faces broke up so it's not any great disappointment to see him making crap records, it's been the norm for about 35 years now!

Rod's touring with Stevie Nicks. They didn't say if Ron Wood recorded with them or not though. Rod sat out doing a Faces reunion and they had Mick Hucknall from Simply Red doing the shows.
They've both talked about it in interviews, Jeff recording the music, and then sending it over to Rod to work on.
I'm sure if they do play some shows, it's prob. going to be like the Cream reunion where they did some shows in England, and some shows in New York, and everyone else gets the DVD.
People have been wanting Rod to go back to making the type of music he was making in the early 70s. Every now and then he does, but it's pretty rare. But "Unplugged and Seated" was one of the best selling CDs he did in years. With the Stones kind of in limbo right now, I won't be surprised if Ron Wood is going to be involved. Aynsley Dunbar was the drummer and he's still around, but odds are the people in Jeff's band right now would be the backing band.

Jeff recorded with his band, not Wood. It is not gonna be The Jeff Beck Group. I can see Ron Wood coming on to jam perhaps in London, but beyond that - I think Rhonda Smith can more than handle the bass. As for Aynsley Dunbar, he was the third drummer in the Jeff Beck Group, but was not on either the TRUTH or BECK-OLA album. Mick Waller was on TRUTH, and he is dead. Tony Newman was drummer on BECK-OLA. Narada Michael Walden did the drumming on the recordings.
