What's Your Fav Quentin Music Moment In A Film BTW: I don't want best song, I want the best use of a song or music within the context of the film. Oscar style (in honor of this weekend's show.)
For me, it's a tie.
Jackie Brown Across 110th Street by Bobby Womack
I love the revisionist history that circles this film. Once considered a commercial and critical flop, many now consider this Tarantino's best (or at least most adult work). I love this opening scene. It sets the tone of the film and let's you know that Jackie Brown is a tough, strong and confident character and yet the beauty of the film is that she has just enough vulnerability that makes you as a viewer care for her as she deals with the cards she's been dealt. This vulnerability and strenght are beautifully conveyed by Bobby's lyrics. The perfect intro to the film.
And....
From Dusk Till Dawn Tito & Tarantula - After Dark (Album Version)
First, I am gay, so I am not saying this just cause of Selma's bodatiousness. Second, this clip is proof positive that Quentin needs to direct a musical, stat! This scene sets the perfect setting for "the big surprise". Each actor is in their element and the music taunts you to ask for more just at the right moment for the big reveal. Awesome editing work. And to learn that it took Selma Hayek four months of therapy to learn to dance with a snake (due to a lifelong fear of snakes that still haunts her today),well, it's icing on the cinematic cake.

Yep, its Across 110th Street for me too
Not just the opening credits but the ending as well. I think it put a dramatic climax on both scenes. Q knows his Blaxpoitation movies very well, the way he built those two scenes.

Ahhh, I guess my forgetting the closing says more about me than it does the film.
SPOILER ALERT! Don't watch unless you wanna see how it all ends.
I always felt this closing was "the Oscar moment" that most nominated performances need to get Academy attention. Sadly, that didn't happen. [Edited 2/23/11 23:47pm] Space for sale...

Here are two of my favorite musical moments from film:
The Blues Brothers
The Color Purple "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
"The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing." - Socrates

Oh! Sorry. Didn't realize this post was relegated to Quentin movies. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

My favorite is when The Lonely Shepherd plays in Kill Bill, when Hattori Hanzo speaks to The Bride in Japanese and talks about how he swore he wouldn't make more swords, and broke his oath, then gives her the katana.

You know which one I liked from Grindhouse?
That song "Cherry's Dance of Death", while Rose McGowan was going around shooting people with her machine-gun leg. lol "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

I don't know about "Fav", because there are so many, but I choose this as one that caught my attention the most in the context of the film.
It's O-Ren Ishii and her Crazy 88 Gang's entrance into the House of Blue Leaves. The proprietors were so intimated they were backing over their own piss.
