Grenade Is Such A Dumb Song I have to hear this song daily at school or work, lord this song's lyrics are so dumb how is i am going to blow up for you basically romantic? I mean first it sound's like the girl he is with is kind of a b...h And then he wants to get shot for her, and take a Grenade for her? Is he on the battlefield? is he in Compton?
Either way i think this song is insanely dumb, and it's even worse cause Bruno is billed as this throwback to old school harmonies and song's, and Just The Way You are is the exact same idea of Billy Joel's song with the i like you just the way you are talking in it
The guy is a descent singer but besides that i don't get the hype Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

He's decent though maybe he's too pop for some.I find Bruno Mars to be a little too lyrically melodramatic, and ultimately very corny. His *only* redeeming quality is that he doesn't make electro-dance/pop (ala Britney/Gaga/Ke$ha...and now Usher/Enrique.) | |

Anyone heard the Lazy Song yet? It's not as good as his other singles but I have a feeling it'll be a student anthem.... LOLS! It describe most university/college students to a tee. ~Time Spent Learning is a Time Never Wasted~

I want to like this song but there's something off about it. I don't think it works as well as it should. And lyrics like "Take a bullet straight through my brain" are more than a turn off. I get kinda queasy hearing that line. The only part I like is the end.
You know what, if this song were about coke then maybe I would see it as genius. That would explain the intensity and violent nature of the lyrics...otherwise the guy just sounds kinda creepy.
