I hadn't heard that album since i was a kid. I need to check this. Just went to youtube and remembered Smile Happy and Heartbeat. Of course we always hear the title track and Low Rider on various radio formats. Don't laugh at my funk

I like this one. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

These are the jams of the album...the whole album, in fact, ROCKS!

This two-part suite of songs is just too much. They bring it on this monster of heartbreak and regret from their 1971 masterpiece, All Day Music:
You just can't deny anything they made from 1971's War to 1975's Why Can't We Be Friends? Check me out and add me on:

The real rock gut wines are listed below:
Wild Irish Rose, Ripple, Manischewitz, Thunderbird, Night Train Express, and Mogen David (MD 20/20 or Mad Dog).

We always bought the apple wine unless we had an extra dollar to get some Mad Dog or the occasional Champale...LOL!
Them was the days, I tell ya.

There is only one War album that I have never heard.....their 1983 album 'Life (Is So Strange)'
This album is a mystery. It came and went very quickly in 1983 without much airplay.Has anyone heard it? Is it worth adding to my collection? I did hear the title track but I wasn't too impressed. [Edited 2/21/11 6:22am]
