I found this issue of Black Book waiting for me yesterday and the photos are great. That photographer really hit on a new side of her. But sadly, I find her music much less memorable.

These are fab! While watching her on SNL it dawned on me that she has "throw back" appeal in that reminds me of the Pam Grier and others from back in the day. She could work that lane with ease and have it all to herself. Also I wasn't sure what was going on with her singing, but she had great stage presence...the camera loves her.
