Anyone with an ounce of goose sense would know that bariatric surgical procedures are very dangerous. Barry Bonds' best friend died on the operating table from one, as did Kanye West's mother.

Pancreatic cancer patients do not look like Aretha Franklin does now, She looks dead on what Patti Austin, Twinkie Clark, Karen Clark and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong looked like after their surgeries for weight loss.

People that are expected to kick the bucket any day between now and late March based on stories in the rag mags like THE STAR and THE NATIOPNAL ENQUIRER, do not book concert perfomances in May, schedule casting meetings for biopic, schedule a meeting with Clive Davis in NY to do another album with him.

Common sense dictates here.

.

I agree that she looks like weight loss surgery patient... but about the dangerous procedure.... any surgery for an obese person will be more dangerous than for a person who is of normal weight. Open heart surgery, cancer surgery... it doesn't matter if you weigh 300 pounds.. it is going to be more dangerous. So I don't think bariatric surgery is inherently more dangerous solely because of the procedure itself. It is the patient population that brings a greater risk.

Also, I haven't heard about Barry Bonds best friend... but as far as Kayne West mother. I thought she was having plastic/cosmetic surgery. Bariatric surgery is not considered plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery. It is a medical procedure, covered by insurance companies and performed by a Gastrointestinal surgeon who has be specially trained in the bariatric procedure. Not by a plastic surgeon.

Did Kayne's mom have cosmetic (face lift I thought I had heard) or bariatric surgery? I am really curious to hear about this.

What is the story behind Aretha and Fantasia. Is Aretha like a mentor to her? Is she like Fantasia's "play Auntie" or something like that? I didn't know they even really knew each other like that.

Aretha stepped in and gave Fantasia a call on her reality show right after Fantasia attempted suicide. She was very concerned about her. So she cares a lot about her for ReRe to take that kind of interest in her..

I just want to correct your ass on something. We just went through a good friend passing away from pancreatic cancer and he lived for two years and looked heatlhy (went camping with family, walked his daughter down the isle) in every way but for his weight loss. It was just a challenge for him to eat and forced himself to smoke pot in order to get food downl. So use some god damn common sense yourself. rolleyes

People!!! Seriously! Lacking tact in social settings is a mother! lol

My ass doesn't need correcting, especially not from you. The woman says she nor her family said pancreatic cancer - so I take her at face value, and I will let you deal with your own ass...now kick rocks *****!

Gasface!!! lol

Nice to see you drop that "commonsense" bullshit. Especially when it was obvious you yourself didn't know what you were talking about when it comes to pancreatic cancer. Thanks for playing! See you next Tuesday. wink
