Ree Ree sets Fantasia straight

Last week, Fantasia Barrino let it be known that she stayed home from the Grammy Awards ceremony rather than sit and watch an Aretha Franklin tribute in which she wasn't invited to participate. Well, word got back to Franklin, who sent the following response to USA TODAY's Lifeline Live:

"I was sorry to hear that Fantasia was upset because she did not get the opportunity to participate in my Grammy Tribute this year. I recall that in the past, Fantasia participated in both my MusicCares Person of the Year Tribute and my United Negro College Fund Tribute. Fantasia is still young in the business and although we all love and appreciate her she must understand that in this business of show business she will not always get to participate in everything she would like participate in. I'm sure it was not an intentional omission. I will see Fantasia over the summer here in Detroit."

To be honest though, and Aretha set it totally correct, but to be a little bit more HONEST here with Fantasia, the grammy's werent even considering you, it wasnt a snub, you werent on their minds? i mean you werent even on your labels mind why would you be on the grammy committee?

Excuse me? Fanatsia did win Best R&B vocal performance for her hit song "Bittersweet" So it wouldn't have been out of place to invite her in that sorry of a Grammy tribute to Re Re...Jennifer Hudson has a cool voice. But its like watching paint dry watching her perform. She is a double drag bore..... biggrin

Yep, and it won't be politically correct either. Aretha will straighten her simple ass out, like my mama did when I acted the fool. biggrin

I haven't seen a more skillful, gracious and constructively critical statement by an authority figure in some time.

OMG! That is hilarious lol I never seen that one before. But yeah, she read her well. And that was just the public version. Wait until she see her in Detroit. That's the version I'd love to hear. Hopefully Fantasia takes heed to whatever Ms. Franklin has to say to her. She really could use some wise counsel.

No she didn't. Due to age, weight and health, a doctor would not perform gastric bypass. It would be too much for her heart.
