i am not a case fan at all, but my sister hipped me to these two tracks a few years back, because she knows how i feel about STEVIE WONDER- THE GREATEST ARTIST IN ALL OF THE PLANET. i actually have a 12" of certain tracks from the 'open letter' album, and of course, these are the best two songs on it. the man channeled STEVIE pretty well, actually.

if i remember he said sony wanted him to do all kinds of commercial sounding songs and he wasn't allowed to do his own thing.

those songs are cool by case i didn't know about them. thanks. especially the first song chord progression wise reminds me of stevie...and also the synth work..i think he was inpsired by music of my mind on that one.

yeah! my sister hipped me to the case tracks. she knows how i feel. she sent me those songs, and i busted out laughing when i first heard it. but now i love that stuff.

Wishful Thinking by Case is very reminiscent of Stevie. Shine too but mostly for the Harmonica break in that track. I've got Glenn Lewis album on CD and there's some good songs on it like the one posted and also 'This Love', and he's influenced by Stevie alot too.
