i dont expect you to like them xD i dont know anybody who does.. but go ahead lol

I do, i have seen them live a handful of times, they used to be compared to The Jesus & mary Chain a lot when they first started, but i never heard that in their music.

They are fantastic live.

oh lol if you knew their music, how come you said you were gonna give them a try? i figured that meant you hadnt heard of them tease

i havent seen them live (in person) but i want to. i have the live dvd they released in 09... they sound good, but its hard for me to watch because of the flashing strobe lights and the constant camera switching. good thing im not epileptic o_O

although, im sure its much easier to see through the flashing lights when you see them in person cause its not like theres a camera changing angles all the darn time nuts hurts my eyes lol

I'd have to think about it some more, but I'd definitely consider the Shins to be in the running.

I wouldn't necessarily say that they are the best but I quite like Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. I haven't heard the new album yet.

I also dug out Room On Fire by the Strokes and it is much better than I remembered it. I loved the debut but I probably listened to the second album less than five times before forgetting about it.

Come on you peckerheads, keep this thread going, I need some recommendations for some new rock music. wink
