Not only has the Fat Lady sung, she has been copied, dubbed, downloaded, shuffled, shared, streamed, bootlegged, sampled, moved around to various labels, re-mastered for a lame re-issue, re-issued again stuffed as a “Deluxe Edition,” than fattened even more for an “Expanded Version,” overplayed and under back announced on free radio, exploited on satellite radio and end-of-the-dial cable TV as a bonus feature, and straight up whored on over a million web sites, waiting rooms, supermarkets and shopping malls near you.

Out of the vast numbers of people who have really “heard” the Fat Lady sing, how many really listened to what she had to say (or sing) and appreciated the wealth and breadth of her aural art form.

When the Fat Lady and I made our initial connection, it was a thing of exquisite, lasting and life-altering beauty. R.I.P Fat Lady. You will be missed.
