Yeah the brain does change when drugs are brought into the picture. Marvin tried to stop numerous times but felt he was hopeless. I'm sure other addicts, famous and not famous, have been through relapses or near relapses. I'm just glad there's those that do feel the need for a drug but control themselves well enough not to do it.

The human condition. shrug

As my husband says, "As long as there have been humans on this earth we've tried and experimented upteem different ways to fuck and get high." lol

and kill each other too. sad

I disagree. EVERYBODY has issues, it all comes down to how a person can handle it. Some people can't or don't know how to handle issues that are thrown at them. I'm not sitting up here saying that yes they should take drugs and use alcohol, smoke cigarettes, etc. in order to handle their problems, but just saying that no one is perfect. Some people make worse decisions than others but what matters is what they do to come out of their addicitions. Like someone mentioned before, the first step to recovery is admittance and El has done that. I can understand your opinion but at the same time, I just think it's easier to judge when you haven't been there. No I have never been an addict of any kind, but at the same time, I'm not going to sit up here and judge those who are/or were either. What right do I or anyone else have to say that someone is a "waste" because they need help? I just think that's crazy and close minded. But that's me.

On the subject of drugs and alcohol.........my mind is closed. It does NOTHING but destroy the human body and mind.

im curious to know how you feel about people who abuse food

LOVE HARD.

This is quite sad for me to hear but I feel like there is a lot going on with El. Let us not forget that he is having a hard time trying to come back into the lives of his children while also balancing promotion for his album. I feel like something within those two problems made him crack under pressure and I wish the best for him once he get's it all together.

He's found a few but I believe he's still on the hunt for the others. The kids that he has been contact with haven't been so welcoming to him accroding to some interviews he did not too long ago.

Aw wow. sad

I guess I can't blame them. He was probably pretty horrible to be around during his drug-using days. But shit if Ted Williams kids can embrace him and his ass was gone living the homeless life in another state then surely El's kids can give him another chance.

Oh ok thanks for that info. I hope she is being well taken care of. Too many kids in foster care are abused and/or neglected. If she's a child of El's then she's probably a doll. Hope she got fostered or adopted by some decent, family oriented, non-money grubbing, non-pedo folk. Extended family preferred.

confuse What the hell happened to her momma?

When did giving someone another chance to rebuild their life and career become "enabling"?

Food triggers the same reaction to the brain as drugs and alcohol do. Of course people don't want you to know that but it does.

hmmm isn't that true of artificial foods, pesticides and/or too much of one thing like sugar or caffeine? I mean I've never heard of anyone going crazy over and getting addicted to organic broccoli. just sayin' the food thing is a bit of a reach unless you're talking about....i dunno...taco bell or micky deez.

Ha, I don't know what it is about cake and candy and ice cream that get people to crave a lot of it. I get it, it's delicious, but it's like... how much can you have? lol I haven't eaten fast food for like a year and that was from a pizza restaurant (CiCi's Pizza I believe). But all the other fast food I've avoided for two years. I occasionally feel the need of candy sometimes though. I get a little Hershey bar from my dad's ziploc bag. Not like he minds, I don't eat a lot of it anyway lol

He was supposed to be in my city on February 5 but the show was cancelled because not only were we all iced in down here but they couldn't make it down here from wherever they were coming from where the weather was even worse. Well, I guess they won't be rescheduling any time soon.

I'm definitely for El being given a second chance and for his ending to

be a happy one. While i don't take the same hard line stance Graycap does,

there is a point when El is gonna have to do this on his own. No matter how

much support he has from family, friends, and fans, this is ultimately an El thing

he has to fix himself. On the real, if this were a celebrity that was not well received

by the org, would the feeling be the same as it is towards El.
