I've only heard his song a couple of times but he annoys me. I don't hate him though. I have seen him interviewed and he seems pretty dumb. I still think it's freaky that he's 17 in 2 weeks and he still hasn't gone through puberty. That's got to be some kind of disorder or something. I started getting hair in my armpits in 4th grade!! But I did start earlier than most guys. I was the only kid in my 6th grade class who shaved. Look at this psychotic shit I found on his wikipedia:

While searching for videos of a different singer, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber's 2007 videos by accident.[14] Impressed, Braun tracked down the theater Bieber was performing in, located Bieber's school, and finally contacted Mallette. Mallette was reluctant because of Braun's Jewish religion; she remembered praying, "God, I gave him to you. You could send me a Christian man, a Christian label! ... you don’t want this Jewish kid to be Justin’s man, do you?”[14] However, after praying with her church elders and receiving their encouragement, she permitted Braun to fly Bieber, then 13,[10] to Atlanta, Georgia, to record demo tapes.

"Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

Any mainstream poppy act that specifically appeals to 9-13 year old girls is going to be hated by people over the age of 18; particularly those who dislike pop music. I get tired of going to YouTube and seeing Gaga's name on every female video.

Unfortunately Bieber and Gaga are today's King and Queen of pop music. Hopefully it will dissipicate soon. From what I have observed, dance-y music that is popular with girls and gays tends to blow up big for a few years, and then experiences a huge backlash as rock fans begin to loudly revolt against it. From there, mainstream audiences move on from it.

I'm predicting that 2011 will probably be the end of it, and next year all of this electro/dance-pop will be expired.
