I have never posted anything about the kid, I know his music is not targeted to me nor do I like his style, look, etc. That said, I can understand the schadenfreude the happens when he loses the New Artist Grammy or gets booed at a basketball game. There's just something that ticks me off about certain pop stars that makes it easy to hate on them which has nothing to do with them. It's more emotional than logical, so I accept it but try not to indulge it, I.e. Post negative crap about someone I dislike. That said, i'm so psyched for Esperanza winning the Grammy, kudos!

wow. why the hate? if you do not like him or the music he makes do not listen.

Just like the kid have his fun and make his money. Wish him the best and choose the music you like and listen to that.

i really flew off the handle earlier.i just hate manufactured artists who are talentless and not worth listening too.Janelle monae for example deserves all the success in the world.she writes her own stuff and had to gain fame the hard way.Bieber is a loser really and give it time will be yesterdays news while janelle monae's star will rise and rise.

lol There's that dang excuse again. "They write their own stuff!" So does Bieber. Elvis didn't write many of his own songs, same with MJ. Writing is no measure of talent, it's just a great bonus. In this case, both artists write so technically both deserve all the success in the world. lol

Beiber also plays many instruments, does Janelle? Cuz I know that's always the next "music snob" excuse for rejecting pop stars as real entertainers lol

When it comes to Pop music, its bout the hook, the rhyme and the ability to reach the clueless. The Beib has done that, much like Debbie, Tiffany, NKOTB. BSB, Justin, Brit Brit, Madonna,Mariah, Whitney, Gaga,Olivia, Barbara, Diana,Aretha, etc etc etc.

You want to hate, fine hate all you want, but dont blame the Bieb for the state of music. Cause its not his doing. We've all watched the destruction of music in the last 15 years and did nothing to stop it. We ran like rats while the teeny boopers and the music media created what we have today.

So suck it up. You reap what you sow.

WOW we have totally different experiences! Aside from FACEBOOK this is the only place I've found NO mention of this guy and I've been all over youtube this past week! You're either exaggerating or paying too much attention to some thing you admit you dislike.

I agree, it's getting really old. I have facebook friends who keep posting that CSI video where he gets show and posting stuff like "if only this was true!!"

WTF? He's a kid singing pop songs. Who the fuck cares. If you don't like it, don't listen. I had personally never heard him sing until I watched the Grammies. It is possible to avoid it, unless you have a 12 year old girl who has a crush on him and plays his music non-stop. In which case... sucks to be you. But our parents had to deal with our crappy music, so... it is what it is.

I don't get the hate.

I find it laughable that writing music is considered a bonus(im replying to an earlier link)its an extention of a greater talent thats already there. And as well as that you've got to have the whole package and Bieber aint got it.I had the guts at 35 to listen to him a few times and i dont like his music first and him second. As for Elvis who was compared to bieber earlier, even though i cant stand either its an insult to mention Bieber in the same breath as Elvis.Janelle Monae and prince are far better and talented than Bieber anyday of the week.Once the screaming teenagers have grown up and left home we will probably ask:Justin Bieber?who is that???.

Part of the problem ain't it? I'm more than old enough to be that boy's mother and the thought of him makes me wanna puke and yet there are women older than me fantasizing and that mess is encouraged... So freaking wrong! razz

Star musicians aren't the only working people within the industry. Songwriters need cash/work, too. If someone can write all their own songs themselves, cool, but to judge an artist's talent solely on that, when some of the greats didn't even do it, is pretty pointless. You're going to end up only liking/admiring very few artists lol At 35, there's no reason for you to like Bieber. He's for kids.

Not the same thing actually. You can't compare MJ and Elvis in that regard. I don't believe Elvis ever wrote even one song on his own (Correct me if i'm wrong but I don't believe he did).

MJ on the other hand wrote a good bit of his songs.

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

I know but he still didn't write some of his massive hits like Thriller, Man in the Mirror or Human nature so it's silly to decide who is talented and who isn't based on that because, obviously, Mike didn't need to write every single song of his to still be the King of Pop.

Bieber is just starting out, plays instruments and writes and has a decent voice. idk what else people want, maybe he should take up juggling or do magic tricks lol

Arnotts

I've only ever heard his songs a couple of times and I've never seen him perform so I cant judge his talent but what I dont get is how girls find him attractive? Even now I look back at my crush on Taylor Hanson and I still think he was a good looking guy and I understand the Jonas Brothers love girls had, so its not a case of teenagers in general having bad taste. He really really looks like a lesbian to me, if I just saw a picture and had no idea who he was thats what I'd think.

it's called media oversaturation and I too am sick sick sick of seeing his face and hearing his music. BUT ya can't blame him. If I was a rising artist today and getting this much media - I'd reign in my dayum publicity dept. to curb the hate.
