I guess we'll never get that rock album, huh? lol I do like the fact that she's working with unknown producers again.....it might result in something bold and edgy, who knows?

Guy Oseary, Madonna’s manager, gave a small Q&A session on Twitter today…
Here’s what he had to say…

On releasing W.E.
No information on movie release yet.. when we know, we will definitely tell everyone..

On the next album
Yes! soon as the movie is over… she is currently listening to new music.. and is very eager to make a new album!!!
I’ve always wanted to a madonna unplugged, the new album will be quite the opposite of unplugged. I have one word for you: DANCE
Most of the music madonna is liking for new album are from all unknown producers. from what she played me, the tracks sound amazing
As i said, so far all the tracks being considered are from unknown producers.. but we are open to all and any great ideas..
I would love to let her rest, but she is eager to get into studio and get working on an album. I’m not pushing.. This is all her!

On Madonna concerts being released in DVDs
I would like it as well.. i had my first meeting with warner records about it.. this will take time.. no promises.. we shall see
I never said no to releasing the dvds. I only said there were no plans for it.. I met with warner this last week to discuss it..
There are NO plans. We had our first meeting about dvd’s, with the intention of making it happen, but this will take some time.

On a tour anytime soon?
Not this summer… need to make an album first!

Dance.

Good grief.

I guess it's ironic to be hoping that Madonna would do something besides dance. Of course there are going to be dance tracks on a Madonna album, and that's great. But when he says "I have one word for you: DANCE" I know exactly where this is going. Again. confused

she is a dance artist

I'd like her to work with Xenomania. I actually find it weird the idea they're yet to work together!

If she's going to work with somebody more current, I'd pick Koop. I'd listen to that.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I agree with those who are wary of another dance-pop album lacking in great songs. I think LAP was her definitive album of the 80's and RoL was the peak of her 90's music. American Lifewas probably her most personal cd of the 00's but Sold poorly. It's probably hard for her to take as many chances with her music and still be commercially viable to compete with the Keshas, Katy Perrys, etc. If she does a more dance oriented cd I wouldn't mind seeing her work with La Roux, Goldfrapp, Stargate, or Pet Shop Boys. If the album leaned at all to Bedtime Stories-R&B, I would love to see her work with Tricky Stewart, Robin Thicke or even Craig Street.

Madonna has always been mostly a dance artist with a few other influences. It's just that what dance music was in the 80's and what it is now has changed. Now dance music is house and more electronic, whereas it wasn't just that in the 80's. Part of me would like to see her do something different outside the dance arena, but the other part of me worries that it wouldn't work or seem natural since dance is where she feels the most comfortable and knows best.

This would be an awesome time to do a quiet stormy / jazzy / bass-heavy mid tempos album imo.

But i don't care if it's dance as long as it's bold. "American Life" felt bold but still a retread of "Music,"...this sounds like it is already a retread of "Confessions" which was far superior to "Hard Candy" but nonetheless we don't need another one. That would be the perfect fuck you to the Gaga pop world - something understated, mellow and goovy. I swear I'm one of the only fans who's number one favorite M record ties as "Erotica" and "Bedtime Stories."

I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I think Madonna doing dance music right now would just slip her into cracks cause the rest of them are all doing dance music now cause it's cool, when Madonna was doing it years before it became mainstream again.

I like the quiet storm/jazzy idea, she can combine it with trance and maybe a little bit of a big band sound

'Erotica' is my favorite Madonna album lol Many fans would say that LAP or ROL is her best work, but there's just something about Erotica that grabs me and never lets go.

I definitely see your point and I'd like to see her stretch herself musically. But on the other hand, just because dance is big right now doesn't mean she shouldn't do dance if that's what she enjoys or feels she is good at. I don't think there's a value in being different for the sake of being different. You shouldn't follow the crowd if it's a kind of music you're not into, but I don't think you should avoid doing what you like just because that style is popular now.

I don't think a big band or jazz sound would suit Madonna or her fans. I'm not big on the I'm Breathless album. I think Madonna should keep to contemporary popular styles of music be it dance, electronica, rock or R&B.

I agree. As much as I would love to see Madonna stretch out and do something different,I know that it would divide her fanbase.Look what happened when she did 'American Life'.....a dark, moody album featuring alot of guitar, slow melodies and hardly any dance music. Some fans acted like the world was gonna end....lol...she should stick to dance/pop.She can add other styles like rock and R&B,but dance/pop is where she should stay.

I hope she goes in a new direction with this album. I loved "Confessions" and thought "Hard Candy" was decent, but i'm kind of tired of the dance/electronica thing. I wish she'd do more r&b and more ballads this time maybe. Of course I want some dance music too, a Madonna album wouldn't be complete without it, but can we please get back to making songs like "Secret", "Paradise (Not For Me)", "Don't Tell Me", "Human Nature", "Take A Bow", "Rain", "Bad Girl",etc.

That's what i'd like to hear with the new album. A mix of different types of music instead of mainly just euro-dance pop.

I like Madonna fine. And like he music alright. I love me some milfs i do. I think she has a much higher business IQ than MJ and Prince's combined total too.

But please dear god, dont let her make videos in tiny camel toe shorts anymore.

Tiny shorts are the exclusive sexy domain of the under 35 club. No exceptions. Not even for Maddona.

And yes, it was thinking of her hung up video.

I was in the minority, I loved that album the minute I heard it, and I'm not always like that, Music took time to grow on me as a whole album.

I am really excited that she is making new album! And good that she is working with less popular producers this time. She will never make another Like A Prayer or Ray Of Light again (at least I doubt it) but I like her recent music too.

eh, you never know. she could pull out another LAP or ROL. won't have the same impact as either of those did, but it could be of their calibre. i mean, after all who would have thought she had that in her coming off of the Erotica/Sex/Body of Evidence/Letterman scandals, the safe harbor of this-year's-soft-r&b of Bedtime Stories, the brief safety of the adult contemporary/Golden Globes nominee that the mid-90's and Evita brought?

loved her, but i was kind of losing interest at the time. she kind of mattered again, musically, with ROL. and she's kind of going through the same cycle right in the past decade that she had between LAP and ROL. just replace the adult contemporary with euro-dance (this decade's version of safe adult contemporary) and Evita with being a British school marm and the charitble work in Malousy.

if she's once again working with unkown producers, or ones that everyone else isn't using, she could very well find herself one step ahead of the zeitgeist once again.

i'm just not convinced that she cares enough to do it. more than ever the music is just her day job that propels her other endeavors.

nod For years,I've been saying that she should work with DangerMouse. He's got a very edgy, experimental sound that would mesh well with her pop sensibilities.
