LP #1: Pops, We Love You {1979}

This album was released as a tribute to Berry Gordy, Sr., who was know as "Pops". I couldn't find a couple of songs which are Mother's Son by Smokey Robinson and the long version of the title track.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Probaby one of my least favorite Motown compilations. I like some of the trax (the single edit of "This is Your Life" in particular), but the rest is just dull to me.
