It’s a deal that’s been months in the making, but Rihanna is now officially Hollywood’s newest perfumer with the launch of her signature scent, Reb’l Fleur.

“My grandmother in Barbados used to call me her Rebel Flower,” the singer tells People magazine of what inspired the fragrance’s name.

And while the name might be the natural choice, deciding on the final mix proved something more of a challenge. “Over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own,” she says. “But I wanted…something that said ‘Rihanna was here.’ Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory.”

The end result recalls the star’s Caribbean upbringing with ripe fruits and sumptuous florals, as well as a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber. Reb’l Fleur will begin rolling into department stores in February, priced at $49 for a 1.7 oz. bottle.

"Not her too!!??" was my initial reaction. But after having seen the add and the bottle I don't mind this. I especially dig the first picture, the composition is really beautiful to me.

The women who have the best voices/entertainment skills have the worst fragrances (Beyonce, Mariah, etc). On the other hand, the women with the worst voices/entertainment skills have the best fragrances (Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, etc).

So this perfume should smell wonderful. confused

I made a resolution about Rihanna to try and get into her albums, so at 12:01 i started and at 12:03 i stopped and listened to the new Duran DUran for 100th time. She just needs to look sexy thats all that matters at this point, she's pretty useless

It smells like leftover Nelly, desperation and career death. lol

I'm kidding. I like Ashanti now, after she learned to sing.

It smells quite elegant. I'm thinking of buying a bottle for my better half.
