You may have sung along with your favorite songs for five, ten, or even fifteen years thinking that you knew these were the correct lyrics. Then one day you had a moment of clarity and then you realized that you were singing the wrong lyrics all along. I'm sure everybody has done that at least once. Here's my recent realization, and one that I've heard:

My version:"Just a touch of your love, makes me feel so fine."

Correct lyric: "Just a touch of your love, gives me peace of mind." ~ "Just a touch of love" by Slave

My friend's mom: "Count your blessings"

Correct lyric/title: "Controversy" YES! She heard all of that in a one word.

In Usher's "You Got It Bad" I thought he was singing something about that HR Puff N Stuff character "Witchee Poo. I'M REALLY SERIOUS! (See BOLD)
