Aren't there some gospel singers that could pull this off? Fantasia Barrino is not right for this role. 'Hallie' was the most revered gospel singer and Miss Barrino I do not believe can capture her. That's what happens...lol like I said don't know if it's actually true but I did hear about that a lot. I think she was involved with Aretha's daddy for a while (he was fucking Clara Ward, Aretha's biggest vocal inspiration, too), which could explain why Aretha and C.L. cut ties with her when she decided not to participate in C.L.'s marijuana rap.

No Aretha's dad was ....her well into adulthood. Which is the source of many of her issues.
