I hope Chris moves 200-300K his first week. Why? Because I love it when people who are so certain about certain things are dead wrong. Everyone here thinks the album will flop, but just a year ago everyone thought his career was over and yet here he is with two huge R&B hits and a top 15 pop hit.

His last album still flopped. You can still have a hit and still have an album that performed less to par.

I don't know about most people but I smell a gold album here. His last album did 331,000 and he was banned then. Lots of artists (Ciara) would love numbers like that.

You're over-exaggerating and Ciara would love any number at this point.

The thing is that everyone is still trapped in the 90's on this forum, FOLKS its over you are talking and thinking numbers that happend 2 decades ago in some areas. I mean we all preach sales and labels and industry is dead and then talk about "flops" like it matters at this point. First thing Britney is a world artist and Chris Brown is a US artist, if he doesnt do anything here, he isnt going to at this point, unless they pull him over seas to market. Now Britney on the other hand, the USA is a very small deal on her plate, and if you think that im kidding go talk to people that work in her camp about what the focus is on?? They are already planning her UK promo for the street dates no mention of any us promo outside of maybe a today show appearance thats it. So i think if anyone feels that Chris Brown is going to move 200-300K first week, well, more power to you, dont see it and dont think his label does, i dont think his shipped has come back home yet. As for Britney, it will be a platnum album, most likely a number debut because there is no challenge, probably move about 200-250 thousand week one and be gold around a month, thats how it is now folks get out of the 90's, its twenty years past.

I don't know if Chris will do 200-300K and it's not likely but I hope he does. Why? Just because. Everyone thinks it will do poorly but I feel it will do pretty well. Like I said his last album did 300k+ under the worst od circumstances so...

Yeah they need to let go of that '90s agenda. It's 2011 now.

I mean he will most likely move somewhere in the 300-400 thousand range overall, i think that would be pretty fair to assume, but that is reality now, i mean, everyone has to come to earth an realize 200 thousand is the new gold and 500thousand is the new platnum, and dream on if you think there will EVER be another "diamond" seller in this country

nod The reigning queen of album sales, Taylor Swift, can't even hit the 10 million mark. I think Fearless is somewhere in the 6 million range after selling ALL those records.

And I'll add that those artists that have diamond records are lucky to have obtained them when they did.

I was one of those people who thought Chris's career was over after "the incident," but with Dueces and Yeah3x charting so well, I think he could do pretty well with his next album.

I dislike Chris Brown and I think he has a lot of emotional problems that he needs to work out, preferably behind bars, but I will admit....Deuces is a jam and that vid is sexy!

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

I'm gonna call it right now... Britney will sell 100k+ in the first week, and Chris will push 30k.

What? No. Brown's last CD was able to do over 100k the first week when he was still being banned from radio, didn't perform anywhere, etc. He'll definitely be able to the same - most likely more this time around since he has increased support.

And as for Britney, 300k+ is a given. Even Blackout did that amount.

Brown's last CD was what, 2 years ago? Britney's last was 3 years ago. And you DEFO can't compare to Blackout which was 4 years ago. Sales have plummeted across the board since then.

I was being a little conservative though. I change my prediction to 150k for Britney and 70k for Chris. I'm just talking first week sales here.

It's not about hit singles either. Taio Cruz had 2 hits (Break Your Heart and Dynamite) and he didn't sell any albums. Bruno Mars has had like 3 or 4 hits so far and isn't selling albums either. I really don't think Chris will sell very many albums at all. I know of at least one artist in the same genre who rode off the back of a #1 billboard single and another in the Top 5 and he struggled to push 20k units first week.

Well there is a huge gap between the singles artists and album ones, more then ever i think. I mean 20 years ago you could chart 4-5singles and still have a top 10 album, now you can do the same and not even go gold? Its a new day, i think the artists realize this but alot of PEOPLE dont grasp this analogy, they hear a name like Ciara and expect her to sell a million? why i have no idea since she had one big album that did 2.7 million about 7 years ago when the industry sold about 60% more than it does now, plus she is in an genre that is far from loyal, young pop/rb, give me a break, you can have a new one with the right click on your mouse. I think worldwide Britney will sell numbers that will easily eclipse what she does here, she is a global artist as i have said, chris isnt, so in the rest of the world the FALL of sales is nowhere near what is happening here so Britney will have no problem worldwide.

yeah i mean think about to about 9 years ago when Norah Jones could sell millions with a word of mouth cd, i mean she called it a fluke, she thought they would sell a 1000 copies when they made it. I mean those numbers she did in 2002-03 u are never gonna see again especially from an out of the box artist

Yea but Taio Cruz is a nobody. We'll see.

I say Chris 100k+

Britney 300k+

If I'm wrong it's pie on my face.
