I agree with you. I saw The Pet Shop Boys in concert last year and they sounded great. Some of Neil's lyrics are truly great and really make you think sometimes...

I know nothing about them other than "West End Girls", which is epic.

my favorite PSB albums will always be "actually" and "behavior"

tho all their stuff up to and including "very" is truly excellent.

after that they've been a bit hit and miss for me. but i still have

to give a lot of their recent stuff some more listenings.

i mean, there's something like almost 50 bsides since "behavior"

was released.

these guys are one of the few groups that keep on releasing the

bsides on their singles steadily. they must have had close to one

hundred bsides in their carreer until now. amazing. and some of

those bsides are better than the album tracks.

ok just checked, they have 70 b-sides, not including occasional songs released

as stand alone singles, songs included on compilations or the extra/new tracks

on the "disco" series.

pretty impressive for a group who have 'only' 10 studio albums eek

i have never been able to get into either "bilingual" or "nightlife", both of which

i should listen to again and see what i think now.

also, have you tracked down the single version of "how can you expect to be?"

it's a very different mix. i can see how it didn't fit the album, but i prefer that

mix to the album version.

I adore the PSB, have seen them numerous times, but what amazes me more than anything is there love and respect to their fans. Theses boys have so many things out there for their fans to enjoy. They get the symbioisis between fan and musician.

I've just got into them and so far I really love 'Behaviour', 'Release' and 'Yes'. I think they're quite underrated as songwriters, PopArt is an amazing collection of pop songs.

I got the deluxe editions of their albums with extra cd of b-sides and remixes for £3 each on amazon.co.uk

I noticed that to!, there a very for the fans band and i respect that so much!

You know even though they haven't had a top 40 hit since 1989, a lot of there singles have appeared as the top 5 in the dance charts. And they have had a lot of bubbling under hot 100 singles, so the guy's still have a good impact on the states. In the U.K i heard there the biggest selling duo ever
