They only care about Britney Spears and Chris Brown- that's it!
The same thing has been happening to the Backstreet Boys in the past 5 five years.
That's why they finally left JIVE after their contract expired this year.
I'm hearing rumors the Backstreet Boys have now signed on to Universal Music Group- not sure which one of the labels maybe Interscope??. Hence that's why we're seeing them so much about them these days after a very long time on big shows like the American Music Awards and Dick's Clark Rockin New Years Eve.
Ciara should go to Interscope records.

Well when you can't even pull 40,000 copies in your first week what do you expect to happen?
She flops so she's useless to the label. It's not anything against her personally.
It Doesn’t matter what label ciara goes on no one cares about her anymore and it’ sad that ciara can’t find a hit in a pop world I would think she would blend in real well with all the other pop acts out. And no she was never R&B to me she’s black pop.

Records labels have a big say in what gets played on the radio or not- that's the thing. They are in contact with Radio deejays.
In the case of Jive- they've invested all their efforts on Britney and Chris Brown at the moment.
They could care less about others- and to them Ciara is just another artist.
Word on the street is that pop/R&B singer Ciara has been dropped from Jive Records after struggling with album sales for her fourth studio album ‘Basic Instinct’, which has sold between 40,000 and 50,000 so since its debut in December 2010.
Whoa. Epic flop right there lmao. About time. She's been releasing flop albums for some time now. Off with her head!

I lost interest with Ciara after The Evolution. Her new music just doesn't cut it anymore .. She thought she'd have a hit album by having The-Dream and Tricky write/produce it, but failed to make it happen .. none of the songs on her new album are even all that hot (besides "I Run It")
She took to her Twitter page claiming a lot of people who purchased her album online never received their copy...right

ike turner offered ciara some vocal lessons....but even he couldnt help her
