awesome job! Those are the two I have paid multiple times to see in concert and both never fail to disappoint....though beyonce has a stronger voice, janet has the whole package and the soul IMO

yeah 3 janet tours and 2 beyonce ones, I'll definitely go back when they're back on the road, plus I met janet several times.

It's like Michael Jackson & P - two completely different separate artists who constantly get compared, but really have nothing to do with each other when it comes to their music & achievements. Well, that's how I see it anyway.

I agree actually. But Bey is still my fave though because I use her more as a vocalist before I do as a performer(chick is actually a great vocalist) whereas especially when Jan was in her prime, she(along with Tina) were the consumate performers/entertainers.

not caring for either of their material, I think Beyonce is way hotter.

Janet reminds me too much of her brother, both artistically and sexually.

Even though I will that Bey is probably more engaging as a performer IMO(and I have seen them both). You know, making you feel as if she's inviting you to be apart of the performance.

Beyonce is Tina Turner all the way. As far as her performances go, I see Tina in Beyonce more than anyone else.

I don't even get the comparisons between Janet and Beyonce to be honest. They are different types of artists.

Ya'll know this thread may soon become history due to it being yet another Janet thread. Anyway, Janet's influence reaches way back. She has been in the industry for over 30 years (longer than Beyonce has been alive) and has set records that haven't been broken. Not taking anything away from B, because she is doing her thing and doing it well, but she's got a while before she can catch up to Janet. Janet is the better dancer but Weave is the better singer. Neither are the best of songwriters. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis have too much involvement with Janet and Beyonce is trash. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any play any instruments,do they?. Janet would also win if we were talking about acting but that's different from musical ability.
