Don't think they needed guests, and they carried out the usual live rap sin (shouting lines), but it was visual fest.

My two cents. While they certainly aren't Prince, Bruce Springsteen, or U2, I was quite pleasantly surprised at their performance. They did do a terrific job of doing a visually enetrtaining stadium show, complete with glowing lights and good choreography. Even Usher's surprise appearance was good.

Lights and special fx and dancers were great - very entertaining.

Slash - a waste, Usher, tired, and The Black Eyed Peas - overrated - but this was better than The Who or U2.

Me thinks Beyonce could have turned it out - but she is overexposed too.

Since Miss Jackson's breastcapade - halftimes have been whack!

I'm more impressed by musicianship than flashy glowing lights and choreography. Plus, I hate autotune, so I admit I'm biased when I say it was just okay. Is it just me, or did their set seem longer than Prince's? It may well have been the same length of time, but it just seemed much longer to me.

then to top it off, part of the Dirty Dancing theme was abhorrently taken into the techno zone?!

I understand what you mean about musicianship, but this is the Super Bowl, not the Grammys, so visuals play a big part in the show. If you compared this performance to Paul McCartney's or Tom Petty's, it was far more visually exciting and energetic than those. Granted, I'm sure more people would rather watch Paul McCartney in concert for 90 minutes than the Black Eyed Peas, but for a shortened spectacle it was decent.

A Record breaking 50 people on my facebook where talking about how awful it was, I thought it was to much auto tune b.s and Fergie just did not sound good.

Slash's thing was kind of pointless love the dude but like.... i felt it was pointless

What was really bad were their voices. They had definite sound issues. Their voices just aren't great live, and they shouldn't have had their voices turned up so loud.

Well all I can say is my dad thanked his lucky stars that he is hard of hearing.

It was pretty good. visually entertaining and lots of energy Usher was totally unnecessary and the Fergie/Slash thing was wack.

The special effects and costumes were cool, but they sucked with the singing

Usher was good.

I didn't think it was terrible, just...bleh.
