Axl Rose

Ok, even as big a GNR fan as i am i have never seen all the videos of his rants but i sat down and watched many of them over the years confused

My gosh the man was effing crazy i mean a lot of there live performances he did some incredible stuff and man when he play's piano he does it beautifully you wouldn't think he was the ranting lunatic he turned out to be.

I Saw a few where he gave Slash a lot of crap live for no reason and then go on for a 10 minute rant about nothing, stupid crap play 1 more song and walk off stage. The guy was such a douche and disrespectful to his fans.

But... sadly i am highly interested in Axl he's an asshole, disrespectful and arrogant. But yet he is a good musician when he want's to be.

What is everyone else's thought's on the infamous Axl?

And i think of Kanye as the like the modern Axl or getting there ha

Axl's a nutjob
But also a perfectionist. going off on druggy slash, well I'm sure he had more than enough reason.
He has survived a terrible childhood.

I like him

small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

Oddly enough, I just had a dream with him in it last night. It was just about him declaring that he is a genius and telling people to fuck off, hah.

He is a weird mix of a musical genius and an uncivilized redneck. When you listen to some of the songs he's made, it's clear that he has the same type of songwriting skills as many of the big names from the classic decades of rock music. On the other hand, he's also kept his other foot firmly in the same "Hair metal / 80s hard rock" territory (Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi etc.). G n'R released a lot of filler even back in the day, I think.

When you watch those interviews it always seems like Axl is the nutjob and Slash is the nice guy. But we don't really know what Slash was like when the cameras weren't rolling. It's easy to play the role of a cool and calm guy in front of the cameras. What I can make out of it, Axl still seems genuinely offended that the other guys didn't want to keep G n'R together and just let it fall apart.

I have seen him in concert 6 times and he is one of the best frontmen ever in my opinion. The first time I saw him was when GNR opened for Aerosmith in 1988 and he was amazing. His voice is incredible. Yes, I have waited the 3 hours for him to hit the stage a couple of times but he was always worth the wait. I do wish he would record and tour more, instead of wasting his talent.

Yes, but you have to think also Axl had them sign the right's to the name of GNR To him or the band would be done. And this is before they went on there 2 and a half year tour. So they stupidly did it but felt they had no choice.

And you can't blame the guy's sure Slash isn't perfect nor Duff even matt & Matt is cool as ice. But Axl's constant rants, showing up late constantly, heckling band members on stage. Causing riots and sometimes playing a 3 hour show sometimes an hour one. And this was for 2 and a half years on tour i mean can you really blame the band for wanting to not keep it together? they tried as hard as they could i think

I personally love Axl Rose. Yes, he's insane but he's one of the last true rock stars and he's really talented. I also happen to love Kanye West. Both of them posses a lot of talent and they have the balls to speak their minds even when no one is asking for their opinion. Wow, they shoould do a track together. That would be hot!

Axl was too much of a drama instigator. I remember when shit got heavy for him after "One in a Million" came out. And he tried to soften the blows with the gay community by saying he grew up listening to Freddie Mercury and Elton John (Elton John doing what he later do with Eminem, who by the way gave Elton and his partner David cock rings for their anniversary, later teamed up with Guns 'n' Roses to participate in the MTV awards performance of "November Rain"). I just think Axl is a fuck up but during the brief run of GNR as a relevant band they were great for what they did and Axl was a great frontman in spite of everything.

I like him, very talented but i wish he had more respect for his fans, i hope the next tour sells very poorly so he'll think about was a twat he's been, people pay they're hard earned money to see him, only for him to turn up over an hour late and then the fans have to leave early to catch the last train home missing half the concert.

I still think that maybe one day the Appetite line up will perform again, he needs them more than they need him at the moment.
