Most of the guitar sites that I've read stated that he choked on his own vomit after a binge on brandy and champagne. These reports came from Britian's "The Sun" magazine. They said his

girlfriend came in his hotel room and found him lying in bed with nothing on but his underwear.

I know Gary Moore had a serious drinking problem in the late 70's but he supposedly kicked it.

..I also noticed Gary (in the last year) had put on quite a bit of weight also.

Being a huge Lizzy fan, Gary was one of my favorite hard rock/heavy metal guitarists in the mid 80's. This is really sad especially after losing R.J.D.

Moore Died of Heart Attack

Guitarist Gary Moore is likely to have died of a heart attack, it has been revealed.

The Belfast-born musician passed away in the early hours of Sunday (February 6) after arriving in the Costa Del Sol for a holiday.

Now, initial post-mortem reports have indicated the likely cause of death is a heart attack.

Although toxicology tests on body fluids have still be completed, Spanish police say they are not treating the death as suspicious, reports BBC News. Moore's body is expected to be released to his family soon.
