Marvin Gaye - Til Tomorrow/My Love Is Waiting

I've been playing the 'Sexual Healing Sessions' edition of Marvin's 1982 classic farewell, Midnight Love and I have a brand new respect and admiration for this album. Every one of the cuts on the original album is just killer...Marvin definitely came back strong, but there are two cuts in particular that have been in my head like never before.

cool

That's how I got hooked on that album the first go-round (the deluxe edition set). My cousin had the album at one time and I remembered playing it when I was over at her house when Web TV was in ( lol ).

It's a great album.

I know what you are talking about. I had the original CD version, but I picked up the 2-CD deluxe edition last year and I have been hooked ever since that purchase. Heck, even the weaker songs (Joy and Third World Girl) get blasted and more love. This whole album is the BOMB!

Chico DeBarge remade that.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yes. He did. I don't like his version, though.

this was actually my first Marvin album biggrin

flashback 1982... for a period of 2 or 3 months "My Love Is waiting" was probably the most played song on my record player music

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!
