Cross My Heart (Tracie Spencer, Eighth Wonder, OR Martika?!?) Tracie Spencer's original version from 1988. This track is from her self-titled debut album, which was NEVER release as a single.

My heart belongs to Marta. Great voice! I used get up bright and early every Saturday morning to watch 'Kids, Inc.' . [And it used to come on damned early! I think like 7AM.
Tracie Spencer also recorded it.

I didn't know about Tracie Spencer's version. I'll try to find it on YT.
As for the history of Kids Inc, isn't it sad that Stacey (AKA Fergie) ended up being a bigger star than Martika in their post-Kids Inc careers?!?
EDIT: @all orgers....Tracie's version is included in the discussion! [Edited 1/30/11 0:56am]

Maybe not a bigger star, but definately a star for a much longer period of time. Martika retired from the pop star business 3 or 4 years into her run. Stacy's just persistent; like an itchy scrotal rash left untreated.

I've found Kids Inc's version in honor of their original cast member, Martika. It's shameful!

If I saw this before peformance, I've totally blocked it from my memory. THE HORROR.

I warned you that it was shameful!
That episode was from the sixth season, which was also Stacey's final season. Up to that point she was THE last remaining original cast member.
It was third season of Kids Inc when The Disney Channel purchased the entire production of the show. Ironically, it was also Martika's final season as a cast member.

THAT^ is not the same song we're talking about in this thread. We're discussion the song written by producer/songwriter Michael Jay. There was never an earlier version before Tracie Spencer.

I f***ing hate Patsy Kensit. I own both Martika's and Tracy's version though. I'll go with Tracy's, though I don't like either song too much.

Compare to Tracie & Martika, I find Patsy's vocals THE weakest of the bunch. But yet, Eighth Wonder's version is the one with the most remixes.

Patsy's cute but a singer she is not. Eighth Wonder was her brother's band.

Until I'd been spared any version. The song is weak, whoever records it. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
