Funnily enough, I was listening to 'Can We Pretend?' this morning, and wondering whatever happened to this documentary. I think I'll have to just buy the US version of the DVD from the promo site next month, as who knows if and when the film's likely to get distribution in the UK, let alone a cinema screening (even though I can think of a few smaller, artsy places where it might find an audience).

Finally! A dream with a real life conclusion. I dreamt about him a couple of nights ago, and I asked him some questions about the delays over releasing it. Now I have my answer. I was bummed over missing all the bay area viewings. This will be the best post-Christmas purchase. Thank u!

He's aged handsomely. I look forward to seeing this, have always loved Bill Withers.

I think it did get a limited screening in one of the theatre houses in London couple of months ago a site I go to profiled that.

I think it's about time for a Bill Withers box set.It's great that most of his albums have been reissued in recent years but I'd love a multi-disc box set that covers his entire career,filled with rarities and outtakes too.

No worries - the DVD's on its way now, anyway.

I watched it last week, it met my expectations and it was wonderful. I never knew anything about him and what happened to him, and you get all of that and more from "Still Bill." I don't want to give much away because I think everybody should experience him their own way. He definitely seems like a really great guy, who kept true to himself and his work. His family is prominent in the dvd as well. I concur there needs to be a box set of his work asap.
