So far loving most of Ra...Ra...Stuff .....But not feeling this one...., Good Pop Song but I like Rihanna's music a little less electronic and more Dance / Hip-Hop / Soca / Raga / RnB Mashup.....biggrin

This is why I am not looking forward to taking my 13 year old cousin to see Rihanna later this year falloff falloff That'll be interesting.

But the song is addictive and it's pretty fair to say that it's the most outrageous (and fun) video she's ever done. Heck, I think it's fair to say it's the most outrageous video I've seen any pop star do in quite a while lol

How many times can pop stars reveal their S&M side?

I'm surprised they did include imagery that is more like what real S&M is about. They've also managed to make it look like a birthday party. Could it be a bit too risque for many video channels though? Or can she do no wrong at this point?

It's a whole lot better than the "What's My Name" video. "The Only Girl" I liked for the colours and because it reminded me of some early 90s videos in particular.

Anyway, I loved it. I got a 90s vibe from it. She looked gorgeous as usual.

Yeah, in full it reads "Rihanna: Dark Princess Of the Illuminati."

It's about time someone poked fun at it.

Maybe because she is hip to the nonsense of the public. I think people think the artists are oblivious to the internet?? are we kidding?? they are on it more than us

Most of them, especially younger are constantly on their own sites, or rival artists, or twittering, or this or that checking what is going on, so im sure Rihanna hears the whole illuminati nonsense a few times a day from people. ANd good for her now to take it and throw this right back out there, because people are all over it already.

I love the catchiness of the song, its melody, its arrangement. Pretty much everything about the song except its subject matter. If I could find an instrumental/dub version and I like what I heard, I'd buy it.

I didn't like it at first but with the video, I am so hooked. razz

I like this kind of sexy... not try hard but almost humourous.

Oh man... I am really starting to like Ms Riri especially after she got over he whole dark phase last year.

She's so fun with this new album.

Good eyes, I would have never noticed.

falloff

She's obviously poking fun at the press and all the discussions. She says she likes being bad and they write it down as her being part of the Illuminati. That's how you create selling headlines.

Change the title OP, I didn't think this was the video thread, was about to make a dupe thread.

LOOOOOOVE this video, never expected her to do a Scandals & Media take on it, but it paid off. It feels like real music videos are back now, after Bad Romance and perhaps after MJ passing, pop artists seem to be trying a bit harder to be more creative.

Always love seeing pop divas smile and have some fun. Did the fish eye lens and the afro/crazy antics in a room remind anyone of both Pink's Get The Party Started video and Busta Rhymes old 90s videos?

Would prefer if fat ass Perez didn't get any attention but I'd rather see RiRI tying him up and walking him like a dog than Gaga remaning BFF with him. Couldn't help but notice the similarities to Britney's If U Seek Amy video when she wore the 50s outfit outside an old fashioned house. Also using Perez in a half diss towards him like she did on the Circus Tour.

This video is delicious, the colours are such amazing eye candy, it's like Wonka's Chocolate Factory threw a sex party.

EDIT: Some of the other headlines: "Rihanna and her five head daddy issues?", "exploiting domestic violence", "Red Riding Ho", "SLUT - Fuck Boys", "Cox News", "Rihanna The Goat", "Whore?"

So, Kelly Rowland's "Commander" and Chris Brown's "Pass Out" had a threesome with Seal's "Killer", got pregnant, had a baby and this is the after birth?

Seriously, this song sounds like so many songs. Even the vocal hook sounds familiar but I can't place it right now. Madonna did the S&M theme MUCH better with "Human Nature" and "Erotica" and at least you could dance to those tracks. This rhythmless bullshit is a perfect example of what's wrong with music but its what people like. shrug Its simple, repetitive and mindless - just like the typical pop music fans of today.

And anyone who has hear this chick speak or seen her in interviews knows that there is no way SHE came up with this video concept. She probably had nothing to do with it at all aside from being the star in it.

Have to agree that Perez Hilton playing a dog in the video is the perfect part for that soulless prick cool

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I can't even listen to her anymore, because I know that nothing in her songs is genuinely from her.

She contributed heavily to Rated R.

Yep she's definately studying at Madonna school of SEX but Madonna does or did it much better with "Justify my Love"...it's just more authentic from her.

I do like the colors in her videos and I like her lighter and more humorous approach on this album than with the horribly dark Rated R.. but that's about it. And apparently the video's been banned in 11 countries....lol ..great publicity....with all the trash on the air waves it's funny how videos like this and Ciara's "Ride" are so quick to get banned.

It hasn't been banned at all. That article came from The Sun and they didn't say which countries nor provided a source.
