I never knew that. I guess that's one reason why it was the only

hit off the album.

BBD did have a minor hit with Above The Rim.

The most memorable song never made the album (to me).

...which made Ralph Tresvant the only NE member not to perform a Babyface song. The closest he got was "Stone Cold Gentleman," which was written by just about every other major member of the LaFace camp (DeRock, Kayo, and L.A.).

Oddly it's on my european CD version. It's not even listed as a bonus track ("lost in the moment" is listed as one though). The song is a ripoff or "cash-in" of "Poison". It's too similar. Same people behind it aswell. It's not bad though, but not a highlight either.

Anyway "something in your eyes" was one of the highlights off a rather uneven second album.

They only released 2 albums then and a remix album. It's all early. lol Unless you consider the 1 CD they put out in 2001 "later BBD". razz

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
