I was all excited because I pre-ordered my Melba CDs last month and thought I was going to have "What A Woman Needs" and "The Other Side of the Rainbow" in my hands this week but then I went to the funkytowngrooves website and was disappointed to see this message:

We are sorry to announce that due to a techinical hitch Januarys 2 Melba Moore titles will be slightly delayed, this will also have an effect on the 3 remaining Melba Moore titles release dates. Below are the revised release dates, although we are very unhappy with this delay it will give customers who have not yet purchased these titles the chance to do so at the preorder discounted rates. Revised Melba Moore Release Dates What A Woman Needs - 16th February The Other Side Of The Rainbow - 16th February Never Say Never - 16th March Ready My Lips - 16th March A Lot Of Love - 11th April The dates above maybe sooner, we thank you all for your support and understanding.

I remember seeing the video to Melba Moore "Read My Lips" when I was a kid. I love that song! I will definately buy that album when it is re-released in March.

Don't hurt nobody, Miss Thing!

One of my FAVE songs by her. A shame it never ended in any of her compilations.

Just received "Closer" and have the first 3 of the Capitol albums on pre-order. Most of the reissue label's output usually gets delayed unfortunately....

Just like the white winged dove...

Yes, PTG Records did a very fine job with "Closer". Like FTG Records, they are starting to use master tapes instead of vinyl. Their reissue of The Emotions "New Affair" is also of excellent quality.
