Lest we forget, she 's well on her way to becoming a highly proficient guitarist. The girl is a monster on a Flying V! Rock that thang, baby!

Just kidding about that, but in a mag interview she said that she wrote a large portion of the lyrics on Rated R herself and worked in tandem with producers.

Oh lawd, looks like she has Justin Beiber hair lol

lol Maybe that's why she switched to the Sideshow Bob curls. lol

I understand her temporary appeal in todays pop market. But special nah, just ordinary. Plus, one of the worst live performers out there.

Beyonce= better live performances, better voice

Rihanna= better singles, more versatility (dance, pop, rock, modern R&B, etc), funnier attitude, sexier image, less annoying

can we all agree on this?

I'm not defending Britney, but the emphasis was on live performances, I don't think lip synching counts.

Did you happen to see rihanna cover glamorous life-very sad. disbelief

She has the good looks, some sex appeal, fashion sense, and the songs have hooks to a certain extent to appeal and crossover. I mean in the UK Girls Aloud are the biggest girl group of all time, but are the worlds greatest singers? no, but they have all the right combos going for them, though they have much better songs, thats more about countries that they are working in.

She's like 1000000x times "better" than Beyonce...

Umm no!
And i'm no Beyonce fan but in turns of vocal ability and dance

Rihanna doesn't come close to Beyonce. Rihanna has the most

annoying vocals i've ever heard. I do like her very first song

but everything after is pretty much doody

This funk is a serious joint

As people here have stated, she works with the best (popular) producers. They come up with catchy, infectious music. She has great stylists, she's attractive, and she also has a little bit of a personality which helps. I can carry a little bit of a tune and I'm pretty, so I wish I had beat her to it. But I like her and her music. shrug

Yep. nod

Beyonce is a wasted talent imo. She has a good voice and is very beautiful, but those shit-hop influenced (Hi vainandy! biggrin ) songs are just horrible.

Rihanna has far less talent imo, but I can stand the overall product a bit better, somehow. And I think that "Umbrella" is a pretty good popsong... boxed

. Rihanna spent ten weeks at number 1 with the song Umbrella, the longest stay for any artist at number 1 for thirteen years and the 2nd best successful single of the year - 2007

cool no need to hide
