Whatever happened to the album Heads Of State was said to be recording?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

It's all coming later this year.

Heads of State, New Edition, BBD, and solos from Ralph and Jonny G. Bobby said his would be released first.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to release it all at the same time. They could do that when they were still really popular, but I don't know about now. The record business is different than in their heyday. There was no downloading then.

Of course I doubt all those releases will be coming this year, that's just what they said.

Yeah, a few years ago NE said they were making a movie for their 25th anniversary, but nothing became of it.

Haha very cute! biggrin

Seriously though I can't wait for Bobby, NE & BBD albums to drop. Not too sure about Heads of State.

Well if all the NE members can put all their BS to bed, then maybe then can make the moves like Backstreet and New Kids are making now, NKOTB's last album was the shock, sure it wasnt the zillions from their heyday, but they actually got respect when most thought they would get laughed at, and the cd was actually pretty good, just too long, now this tour is selling alot of tickets and looks to be huge for both groups, so NE better get it together, swallow your fucking egos, or if you cant, then you will soon be looking for a new line of work, because that will be the end of it once and for all.

The diference is that New Edition never really had the pop audience as the other two. The main reason New Kids exists at all is because NE fired and sued Maurice Starr. So he decided to form a group of white kids that could get a bigger audience than a black group. That's why they were named New Kids On The Block as they were from Boston like New Edition. But they flopped at 1st. NE by themselves can probably only get a Tom Joyner cruise audience. According to an interview Bobby did last early last year, NE was supposed to go on a summer tour with NKOTB. I don't think neither group did a tour then, but there were separate tours featuring BBD & Heads Of State.

Sounds very generic. Nothing really stands out about it. I like B Brown. Hopefully he's got something better on the way.
