That's my shit right there. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Not my favorite Bauhaus song at all, but I have to give it credit for helping to start an entire subculture of which I was a part for over ten years.

Need to add more, I had heard of the band but up until last year I hadn't played none of their music, now I love what I'm hearing and wish I was a part of that scene too, Sexton.
I forgot ALL about this song:
I heard it vaguely (sp?) as a kid.
Edit: Peter Murphy was S-E-X-Y. [Edited 1/28/11 13:28pm]

Hah, this was the first Bauhaus song I ever heard. I used to see the video in 1984 on the local UHF station while waiting for old Prince videos (the only place I could see those) to come on. Didn't really get into the band until the early 90s when I was ready to handle that kinda stuff.

Knowing my weird ass I would've been hooked if I had known of this band's existence.

England in the 80's was dreary as hell (still is, but for different reasons), except on thursdays staring at 7pm. for 30 mins, when Top Of The Pops came on air on BBC1. Everyone tuned in even the mamas and the papas -who of course didnt think it was 'real music' at all, but it was such a freak show, you never knew who would turn up.
Bauhaus were part of the 'stuck up their own arse' posse, if you like, but even so they had something in common with most of the other acts: good, never before heard, modern, music. they had an alt. blur/oasis rivalry thing going with Japan, or maybe that was just their fans. Me? i was an equal opportunity fan. i loved all of that shit. Check out Japan if you haven't already.
Oh yeah, Peter Murphy starred in a commercial back in the day. Twas a classic. Thanks for reminding me of that. Check it out (if you havent already)

Funny that thing of the rivalry with Japan - and later Murphy teams with Mick Karn (RIP ) in Dali's Car.
