Network - Pump It Up
I love the way the groove transitions from the verse to the hook(certified bounce), but it only happens twice and the song starts to drag a bit near the end. Solid track regardless.
You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

I don't know this group but they sound good. Love the 80's funk!

I don't think the album cover posted is the same group, although they share the same name.
They might be, but the other group features a female on lead vocals.
I doubt it would be possible to find very much information about such obscure artists, I'll see if I can clarify things. You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Gotcha, yes there is not alot of information about Network; however I did find that they are connected on discogs.com. Their whole album was available for preview on a certain webiste; however I forgot the name! Straight Jacket Funk Affair

You made a thread about them in 2007

They are connected on discogs, but there is nothing on the 85 release, and I doubt that a group with very little publicity/record sales would be so quick to drop a follow up album.
Although they could have been trying to revamp their look.
I don't know, but my guess is that they are separate groups. You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

The album credits for the 84 release strengthen my theory
I could probably find credits for the other one but I don't really care enough to go on a big search. You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Vinyl copies of this album seem not much available online. Louis Silas,Jr. was involved with that project on MCA : Network (2) - Out Of Dang...at Discogs
As far i could find any other info, there's this link about a sold copy : popsike.com - Network - M...on details
Not sure, but i think that ^this^ could indeed be another group than the one from guitarist Kevin Robinson (BB&Q Band) and drummer Howard King (Mtume) :
The two founders of the band, Kevin Robinson and writing partner Howard King didn't spend much time with the Network project after it was finished and soon the band was history, Kevin explains "Howard and I got very busy with other projects around that time; along with recording session and dates with BB&Q in Montreal, New York, etc. I did not keep up with the Network project after it was completed."
