did jermaine get mad at michael because she was in the 'in the closet' vid... er... short film? was he like, "you stole my idea AGAIN, michael!!!"

That was Tyra in that video. Iman was in his video for "Remember The Time"

.

Tyra was in Black Or White. In The Closet was Naomi Campbell.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

To a certain extent Jermaine and Michael shared some things as songwriters. The way they used harmonies and ad libs in slow jams etc. Listen to songs like this one and Michael's Fly Away etc.

Like Jermaine's background on this.

Wow what a lovely version of this song. I had only heard it with J5. The J5 version is a hidden gem btw.

Jermaine is an accomplished artist. If he spent the last year and a half or hell last two decades working on an album rather than changing faiths and chasing women, he would be a top R&B act today.

^^^I heard that Where Are You Now from the same album was originally recorded by the J5 on the scrapped album Stevie produced on them.

this version is awesome... she does the song good. i will say in the J5 version, michael truly showed his range as a vocalist there... ms. write did shine here as well! definitely on of her greatest moments, post-STEVIE.
