Even better than the video for Robots! My only problem with it is that it's just way too short, two and a half minutes shorter than the album version. "Life's an elevator, it goes up and down. Life's an elevator can't you dig the sound?" -Marc Bolan

Everybody's trying so hard to be "alt" but forgetting to sound GOOD in the process. I guess its easy to fool people into believing something is good just because its different these days. One can be non-conventional and still sound good at the same time.

First, I liked that album and how experimental it was. I also really dig Levels. But this video is appaling IMO, the video for Robots was so much better (the song is not as good as the video) :
Even though I liked that album I see what you mean, and especially for someone like Bilal who already was non-conventional even when he was singing more neo-soul oriented tunes. His vocals has always been strange and non-conventional. On this album it feels more like he's trying to sound weird on some songs where it was more natural on his previous albums.
I repeat, Airtight's Revenge is a good album Imo, but vocally it's not nearly as good as his previous effort, I don't know if it's because of the music, or because he lost a lot vocally or because he's trying to hard to be seen as an alternative artist. IMO he should not throw evrything away and he should remember that one of his main strenghts was his vocal arrangements : he didn't showcase that on his new album. My other issue with it : the mixing is pretty bad, there are a lot of things going on on those songs. If you're going to put so much layers on a song you need EXCELLENT mixing ...
