I have this record (the album that is). smile

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

It's never on any of his hits collections. It peaked at #3 on the Billboard R&B chart in '82.

It probably didn't cross over. Hit compilations in general mostly feature songs that hit the pop chart.

I grew up listening to this record..that album had the song "Old Fashion Love" on there.

This album, Stevie's Original Musiquarium, and Debarge's All This Love were the first Motown albums I listened to.

Yes, that's on there and so is I'll Try Something New. A Taste Of Honey had a version of that around that time too.
